FAQs

How does it work?

Once you have signed up, we enrol your employees or as many as you wish to benefit from the platform. All the onboarding process is handled by Healthfinder so your teams have a direct point of contact for any questions. Once enrolled if you employees need care they simply log on, find the specialist they like and send a healthfinder request. They can ask for you to pay, and at this point you are asked to confirm how much you wish to contribute to the costs of their care. If they can't find what they need or want us to help they can at any point in time.

Are you a healthcare provider?

Healthfinder is not a healthcare provider, we work with a range of Consultants and Healthcare providers who meet our citeria. This means your employers always have access to range of professionals and providers giving them control and choice.

What happens if my employees can't find what they need?

They simply hit the request help button and we'll sort the rest, including giving them access to a healthcare professional to talk through what they need.

How do I manage costs?

Businesses have total control over costs, authorising each employee request for a contribution. This means you can align healthfinder with your own policies and procedures. If you choose not to contribute to the cost your employee can still go ahead and book and meet the cost themselves. They still benefit from the same support and access.

How do I get occupational health support?

When considering an employee request for cost support, you have the option to approve and also request an occupational health report. If you select this option your named individual will be in contact to sort the arrangements.

Is this an EAP (Employee Assistance Program)?

Healthfinder helps you and your employees get access to real medical specialists for advice. We don't offer remote or eCBT therapy - all the services we provide access to involve access to a professional in person.

Can our staff talk to a person?

Always, we use our platform to keep life simple and protect confidentiality, but support is always available over the phone if needed.

What healthcare professionals are on the platform?

We only work with selected professionals who we believe will add value to our clients and who can provide evidence of insurance, where they practice and DBS checks. If someone your employee would like too see isn't on the platform, they can still ask us to arrange appointments by clicking the help button.

What areas do you cover?

Currently we cover businesses in Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire. If you run a business outside of these areas please don't hesitate to contact us to find our when we are going live in your area.

Case Studies

A group of property and construction companies have always supported their employees healthcare needs on an adhoc basis, covering the costs of staff members specialist appointments as needed. This gives staff the confidence to access care, and ensures that the company's costs are targeted at getting employees specialist advice to manage their health. The company doesn't offer private insurance as the excess and conditions can be restrictive and as their work force ages premiums are increasing proportionately. Targeted direct support has also proven more time effective.  However, helping employees arrange care takes significant time, Healthfinder allows them to short cut direct to the Specialist needed, get occupational health support when required and manage costs.
